Async video for teams

Skip the meeting.
Send a Luma.

Record your screen and camera in one click. When you press stop, your share link is already on its way to the clipboard — so you can explain a bug, walk through a design or onboard a teammate without finding a time that works for everyone.

Why teams use Luma

Most updates don’t need a meeting.
They need five minutes of you showing your screen.

Give everyone their time back

Record once, share with the whole team. No calendar ping-pong, no time-zone math, no “can you see my screen?”.

Be understood the first time

Show the exact click, the bug, the flow. Your face and voice carry the context that a long message loses.

Keep work moving

Teammates watch at 1.5×, react, and leave a comment pinned to the exact second — whenever it suits them.

How it works

From “let me explain” to a shared link in three steps.

  1. 1

    Press record

Pick your whole screen, one window or a custom area. Add your camera bubble and microphone, and get a 3-2-1 countdown.

  2. 2

Stop — the link is ready

Luma uploads in the background and copies the link for you. Trim the start or end first if you need to.

  3. 3

    They watch and reply

Anyone with the link can watch on any device, pick the quality, react with emoji and comment on a moment.

Features

Everything you need to record well — nothing you have to learn.

A camera bubble that stays out of the way

Drag it to any corner. It snaps to the edges and remembers its spot for next time, so your face never covers the part that matters.

60fps

Smooth enough for demos

Choose 24, 30 or 60 fps. Scrolling, animations and cursor moves stay crisp.

Plays well on slow Wi-Fi

Every upload gets 1080p, 720p and 480p versions. Viewers switch quality in one click.

Speaker notes only you can see

Keep your talking points on screen. Notes, controls and the Luma panel never show up in the recording.

Draw to point things out

Circle the button, underline the number. Annotations appear live while you talk.

Feedback in context

Comments and reactions are pinned to the second they’re about, so nobody has to say “around the middle”.

One library, everywhere you work

Sign in once and every recording — from the desktop app, the Chrome extension or the browser — lands in the same library. Rename, archive or delete from anywhere.

For teams

Built for the moments that usually turn into meetings.

Engineering

Bug reports that reproduce themselves

Show the steps, the console and the result in one take. No more “works on my machine”.

Design & product

Reviews without a review meeting

Walk through the prototype once. Collect comments on exact moments from everyone who needs to weigh in.

Support & sales

Answers customers can replay

Send a personal walkthrough instead of a wall of text. They can watch it twice; nobody needs an account.

Onboarding

Train once, onboard forever

Record how things work today and build a library new hires can watch at their own pace.

Questions

Good to know

Do people need an account to watch?

No. Anyone with the link can watch, react and comment from any browser, on desktop or phone. Only the people recording need a Luma account.

How do I get an account?

Luma is set up for your team. Ask your team admin for the invite code, then create your account and sign in on the desktop app or extension with the same email and password.

Where are my videos stored?

In a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Videos only play through signed links that expire, and deleting a video removes its files. Read the privacy policy for details.

Does Luma work on Intel Macs?

The current Mac build is for Apple Silicon (M1 and later). On an Intel Mac, use the Chrome extension or record in your browser.

Can I record without uploading?

Yes. The desktop app keeps every recording on your computer. Turn off automatic upload in Settings and share only the videos you choose.

Your next update could be a two-minute video.

Record it once. Share a link. Get back to work.
